Last update:
I have used different lace techniques, such as bobbin lace, needle lace and tatting.
Needle lace butterfly (6,5 x 6 cm).
It's easy to make a design yourself, and you can make the lace on the couch while watching television.
Needle lace dragonfly, glued on a wishing card.
A first try, not really a success.
A needle lace christmas bell designed by myself, made with two colours green machine sewing-thread.
I like the result, but it makes my thumbs ache, so not a good idea for my christmas cards.
Because I think it's so nice I started another bobbin lace project. I made this card for my parents' wedding anniversary. White with a gold thread in the middle.

When I saw the picture of this pointsettia, I just had to make it.
Luckily I found a very clear picture, which I could use as a pattern.
When I asked for ideas for crocheted stars on a forum, someone asked why I didn't try tatting. So, I started looking into tatting and got more and more enthousiastic.
This star was my first try, much too loose, but with a little starch it doesn't look too bad.
Another snow flake, but this time a little more tightly tatted. That looks more like it!
These tatted decorations can be hung over any middle-sized christmas ball.
Some of these items are for sale in my articrafts shop on this website.
Snow flake numbers 5 and 6 are of my own design. I needed to unraffle them a few times, because it didn't look like what I had in mind.
And of course I hung them in the tree with christmas. I am definitely going to make some more.
Thit butterfly can be made very fast and looks nice on a postcard or e.g. piece of clothing.
