I like making my own christmas cards every year. They are made according to a different theme each year, but they to be different from each other.
A bobbin lace christmas bell of my own design, made from two different colours green machine thread.
Very nice, but it made my thumbs ache, so, not good for my christmas cards. Maybe in some far away future.

This idea comes from a book. I used all sorts of paper such as, folding leaves, gift wrap, the backside of writing paper (frosted silver).

they make the most wonderful works of art this way. Some are copied some are my own design.

This year it had to be a quick and easy card. The trees are cut out of pieces of wall paper.
The dots have been perforated from gold and silver paper en have been glued onto the garlands from gold or silver thread.
These cards have all been made with white, silver and mother-of-pearl. I used all sorts of material from packing material to
vitrage. Also I used different techniques.
The stars have been either cut out or glued on and have been embelished with gold thread.
Angles punched out of gold and silver paper. They have been hung like little mobiles.
This techniques is very time-consuming, but it's fun doing while watching television.
This year I made two types or cards, cross-stich and with felt. When making them I always think, oh I can use this and that and that, but at the end I like the simple ones most.
