Last update:
Because I always like going on to the next project, my quilts are usually quite small. I love the puzzling with all these colourful pieces of fabric.
This quilt I made when I was expecting our second child, inspired by a quilt named "Quiet pond". The appliqued frogs have also been sewn on the curtains.
Little quilt made for my niece of then 2,5 years for her room in their new house.
Small quilt, ca. 25 x 25 cm, made for my neighbour who collects bears.
Little quilt made for the birth of another niece. Dimensions are approx. 50 x 50 cm.
Little quilt made for the birth of my nephew. Dimensions 40 x 40 cm. They were going to paint a large cow on the wall, so I was very glad to have
found this fabric. Unfortunately the cow never appeared on the wall, so my quilt didn't really make any sense.
Patchwork cushion, made for my daughter's pink room. The crowns have also been sewn on the curtains.
I made this quiltcover from fabrics I already had. So the pattern has been adapted to the amount of fabrics I had instead of the other way around.
The still unfinished star quilt. This quilt has been machine sewn.
Finally the star quilt has been finished.
This quilt is almost ready but I am afraid it will take some time yet. The quilting pattern is rather complicated.
Finally the Japanese Puzzle quilt has been finished! It should be framed a bit tighter yet, but I think it turned out very beautiful. The measurements are 72 x 80 cm.
And this is going to be the next one. The blocks have been sewn together.
Birth quilt for the second son of my brother.
And this clockhouse quilt is nearly finished now. When the patchwork part was finished I noticed that the corner of the fish patch has the same colour as the
adjoining patch, a pity, but taking everything apart is no option.
And here's a picture of the finished quilt.
And this is how I keep some of my quilt fabrics. These are firm card board boxes (for shoes or envelope) with an attached lid. At the front I cut out
a rectangle behind which I glued a piece of hard plastic (from packing material).
This small quilt of 40 x 40 cm I made for my parents. It contains a saying of my 5-year old daughter. ("I wished that I lived somewhere else, so that I could
come here on holiday"). Something she said while cycling to school.
A layout for a new quilt. I used these pieces (should thing so after all that cutting!), but in a slightly different layout.
